Swordandaxe.com accepts U.S., CANADIAN and U.K. credit card orders on our website. Shipping is $29.50 to CANADA, and $87.95 to the UNITED KINGDOM for orders of any amount.

~~Regarding UK orders: If you are inside the UK and wish to have a Functional blade sent to you, we can under these circumstances (We have not had a problem with shipping Straight blade swords to UK):

If you are a martial artist with the paperwork to prove it to your UK customs office upon arrival to the customs office, (they will contact you or you can contact them), then we will ship to you! We can also ship to your dojo or martial arts school in the care of your Master, Sijo, Hanshi , Sifu, or anyone with a martial arts letterhead. It must be official. You will not need to furnish this to us, but to your local customs office.(refer to more specific details at the bottom of this page)~~

If you are from another country, please e-mail us with your shipping address and what sword(s) you want to purchase and we will calculate a final cost to you. There is a $225 MINIMUM order total for international orders NOT being sent to the U.K. or to Canada. We cannot ship to the following countries: Brazil, Greece, Denmark, Japan, Russia, Indonesia, and Mexico.

Please be aware that there may be customs fees or other fees charged by your country to pickup the merchandise that is delivered. Swordandaxe.com is not responsible in any way for any additional fees that your particular country may charge at pickup.

You alone are responsible for making sure that the products shipped to your country and/or city are legal for import and agree to pay all duties and taxes that arise from the import of such goods. Swordandaxe.com will not be held responsible for customs seizures or become involved with any customs issues or disputes.

Also please note: - We can not undervalue your shipments on the customs forms, or mark your shipment as a gift in an attempt to get out of paying any taxes that are legally due. Doing so is illegal and can cause us serious problems as an Importer / Exporter.

We accept Western union checks, cash transfers, or PayPal payments from CONFIRMED PayPal addresses only. We do NOT accept foreign credit card orders except from Canada and the United Kingdom.

If you REFUSE delivery due to associated costs at your local customs department or for ANY OTHER REASON, Swordandaxe.com is NOT responsible for the fees associated with returning the sword to us. We are also NOT responsibile for the ABANDONMENT fees that will be charged by UPS. In this case YOU the customer are fully responsible for the original shipping charges PLUS the RETURN shipping fees back to us PLUS the ABANDONMENT fees. You will be credited back the total cost of your order MINUS the original shipping charges to you and then MINUS the return shipping charges by UPS to return the sword to us and MINUS the ABANDONMENT fees.

International Shipping Exceptions/Laws:

We cannot ship to the following countries: Brazil, Greece, Denmark, Japan, Russia, Indonesia, and Mexico.

Special note for Australia - We can ship to Australia. However, please be sure to verify the legality of your selections in your area. Australian customs has become very strict lately, and we would hate for your shipment to be confiscated. A special license may be required for you to import these items.

Please be absolutely sure you may legally do so, before placing your order. We will not be able to refund confiscated shipments.

Special note for the UK - Sword laws have recently changed in the UK.

There are no problems with the import of straight swords to the UK.

However, all curved swords over 50 cm in length are now illegal, including decorative items. Exceptions are provided for members of martial arts schools holding the proper insurance, for religious usage, and for traditionally hand made swords. If you are ordering one of these curved swords, please include your exception information in the special instructions section. We'll include this information with the package to help with clearance through the UK customs. Please be absolutely sure you may legally import these items, before placing your order. We will not be able to refund confiscated shipments. Another thing to keep in mind is that regardless of exemptions, customs has been seizing the shipments, regardless of the fact that we have provided documentation about their proper exemption. Be prepared for a struggle to get your shipment to clear, but ultimately it is up to customs if they will let you get your shipment, regardless of what the official law states. Their apparent strategy is to seize everything and make you prove that you are allowed to have it, ignoring any documentation included with the shipment.
